College football is now in season. With the more weeks that go on, more news and notes will be put together. Here are some of the things happening around the sport of college football heading into week 11.

Florida State fired head coach Willie Taggart on Sunday. He was 9-12 in two seasons with the team. Odell Haggins, a longtime Florida State coach, will take over as interim coach.
Chase Young Suspended Indefinitely

Ohio State star defensive end Chase Young has been suspended indefinitely. The school is looking into an NCAA issue that took place in 2018. Young will miss the Maryland game at the very least.
New Mexico DL Nahje Flowers Passes Away at 21

A reserve New Mexico defensive lineman, Nahje Flowers, has passed away at 21. No cause of death has been revealed. New Mexico’s game against Air Force has been rescheduled for November 23.
Tua Tagovailoa Likely to Play vs. LSU; LSU Linebacker Michael Divinity Kicked off Team

Last week, Tua Tagovailoa started taking snaps with his sprained ankle. While Nick Saban said he is a game-time decision, he will reportedly be able to play vs. Alabama.
LSU will be without one of their starters for the game as outside linebacker Michael Divinity has been kicked off the team. It is reportedly for disciplinary reasons.
Purdue QB Jack Plummer Out for Season
Brohm on Plummer: Probably be out for the year. On way to doctor now to see if he will require surgery on a broken ankle.

Jack Plummer suffered an ankle injury against Nebraska on Saturday and is now out for the season. Quarterback Elijah Sindelar is out for the season with a broken collar bone. Aidan O’Connell will likely take the snaps for the team for the rest of the season.
Indiana QB Michael Penix Jr. Out for Season
Indiana announces that QB Michael Penix Jr. will miss the rest of the season. He had surgery for a right sternoclavicular joint injury on Monday.

Indiana quarterback Michael Penix Jr. is going to miss the rest of the season with a sternoclavicular injury. He missed most of last season with a torn ACL. Peyton Ramsey will fill in at quarterback for the Hoosiers.
Other News and Notes
- Syracuse has fired defensive coordinator Brian Ward. The defensive ends coach, Steve Stanard, will take over as interim DC.
- Florida State defensive tackle Marvin Wilson is out for the season after having hand surgery.
- Georgia and Ohio State have agreed to a home and home deal for 2030 and 2031.
- Miami safety Bubba Bolden is out for the season after injuring his leg celebrating.
- Florida OL Chris Bleich has entered the transfer portal after starting eight games.
- P.J. Fleck has agreed to a seven-year contract extension with Minnesota.
