

The college football season is here. Every week, different news and notes will pop up, which will affect what happens on the field and off it. Here are the college football week 0 news and notes.
Ryan Day has named redshirt freshman Julian Sayin the starting quarterback for Ohio State this season. The former five-star recruit played in four games last season, passing for 84 yards and a touchdown.
Marcus Freeman has named CJ Carr as the starting quarterback for Notre Dame. He is the grandson of former Michigan coach Lloyd Carr. Carr was a four-star prospect in the class of 2024.
Tennessee has made UCLA and Appalachian State transfer Joey Aguilar the starting quarterback. He transferred in the spring after Nico Iamaelava transferred to UCLA. He has passed for 6,760 yards and 56 touchdowns in his career.
USC transfer and current Texas Tech running back Quinten Joyner will miss the season after tearing his ACL. He was projected to start for the Red Raiders this season after rushing for 478 yards at USC last season.
