Michigan Self Imposes 3-Game Suspension for Jim Harbaugh
Michigan has self-imposed a three-game suspension for head coach Jim Harbaugh. This stems from recruiting violations and an NCAA investigation. The matter is still ongoing, but Michigan decided to self-impose the suspension. Harbaugh will miss games against East Carolina, UNLV and Bowling Green. No interim coach has been named.
Iowa State Starting Running Back Jirehl Brock Leaves Program
Iowa State starting running back Jirehl Brock has left the program according to Randy Peterson. Brock was investigated for gambling.
Kurtis Rourke Set to Start Week 0 for Ohio
After tearing his ACL last season, Kurtis Rourke is set to start for Ohio in week 0 against San Diego State according to Pete Thamel. He won MAC Offensive Player of the Year last season.
LSU DT Maason Smith Suspended for Week 1 Game
LSU defensive tackle Maason Smith has been suspended for one game by the NCAA due to receiving improper benefits. The infraction occurred in 2021 before NIL laws were in place. To open the season, the Tigers will be without Smith for their game against Florida State.

- Georgia’s running back Branson Robinson is out for the season with a ruptured tendon.
