College Football Playoff Bracketology November 19

Publish Date: November 19, 2023

Each week teams will be fighting for position in an effort to make the College Football Playoff. The teams will be ranked each week, but what matters most is who they have played and defeated already on the field. Preseason rankings will not be taken into consideration here. Here is College Football Playoff Bracketology November 19.

CFP Four

1. Georgia Bulldogs (11-0)

Georgia got another ranked win today when they defeated Tennessee. They were ranked number one last week by the committee and that is unlikely to change heading into the final week of the regular season.

This week: at Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (6-5)

2. Ohio State Buckeyes (11-0)

The Buckeyes defeated Minnesota this week by 34 points. The win doesn’t help their case to move up, but Ohio State stays in the second spot as they head into The Game.

This week: at Michigan Wolverines (11-0)

3. Michigan Wolverines (11-0)

Michigan struggled on the road to beat Maryland, but they got the job done and stayed undefeated. They have plenty going on, so it was good they were focused enough to get the win and stay at third in the rankings.

This week: vs. Ohio State Buckeyes (11-0)

4. Washington Huskies (11-0)

While it was a close game, Washington defeated a tough Oregon State team on the road. The conditions were bad as well. This win should be enough to put the Huskies into the fourth spot this week.

This week: vs. Washington State Cougars (5-6)

First Four Out

5. Florida State Seminoles (11-0)

Florida State notched a win over North Alabama, but they have bigger issues on their hands. Starting quarterback Jordan Travis had a significant leg injury. The committee will consider that and Florida State may drop a spot this week.

This week: at Florida Gators (5-6)

6. Oregon Ducks (10-1)

The Ducks had no problems defeating Arizona State and registered their 10th win of the season. They just need to keep winning and the help could come to vault them into the top four.

This week: vs. Oregon State Beavers (8-3)

7. Texas Longhorns (10-1)

Texas won this week over Iowa State on the road. They have not yet qualified for the Big 12 Championship Game, but will likely be there. If they win out, they have a good shot at the CFP.

This week: vs. Texas Tech Red Raiders (6-5)

8. Alabama Crimson Tide (10-1)

Alabama looks like one of the four best teams in the country, but their loss to Texas is holding them back in the rankings. They still control a lot, as if they win out, they likely will be in the CFP.

This week: at Auburn Tigers (6-5)

Next Four Out

9. Missouri Tigers (9-2)

After being ranked number nine last week, the Tigers will likely stay there after defeating Florida. They are out of contention for the CFP, but could make a New Year’s Six Bowl if they win this week.

This week: at Arkansas Razorbacks (4-7)

10. Louisville Cardinals (10-1)

Louisville won a close game at Miami. When they were ranked 10th in last week’s rankings by the committee, it really showed how little of a chance they have to make the CFP. Even if they win out, it will be tough for them to jump enough teams to make it.

This week: vs. Kentucky Wildcats (6-5)

11. Penn State Nittany Lions (9-2)

Penn State got a win over Rutgers, but move up in the rankings with other teams losing. Although making the CFP is off the table, a win this week gets them a spot in a New Year’s Six Bowl.

This week: at Michigan State Spartans (4-7)

12. Ole Miss Rebels (9-2)

Ole Miss has set themselves up well for a run at a New Year’s Six Bowl Game after defeating UL Monroe. A win in their last game should get them there.

This week: at Mississippi State Bulldogs (5-6)
