1. Alabama Crimson Tide (10-0)

The Crimson Tide will be the top team as long as they keep winning and they did that against Arkansas. Now comes the SEC Championship against Florida.

This week: vs. Florida Gators (8-2)

2. Notre Dame Fighting Irish (10-0)

Notre Dame was off this week and will keep their spot in the rankings, as they look forward to Clemson in the ACC Championship.

This week: vs. Clemson Tigers (9-1)

3. Clemson Tigers (9-1)

The Tigers were also off this week as they prepare for the most anticipated matchup in ACC Championship Game in history.

This week: vs. Notre Dame Fighting Irish (10-0)

4. Ohio State Buckeyes (5-0)

The biggest rivalry game in college football was canceled, but the Big Ten voted to allow Ohio State into the Big Ten Championship where they will take on the Northwestern Wildcats.

This week: vs. Northwestern Wildcats (6-1)

First Four Out

5. Texas A&M Aggies (7-1)

Texas A&M didn’t have a game this week. They will hope that Notre Dame beats Clemson, Alabama beats Florida and Northwestern beats Ohio State to get their chance at the CFP. Anything short of that and they are on the outside looking in.

This week: at Tennessee Volunteers (2-6)

6. Iowa State Cyclones (8-2)

The Cyclones jumped Cincinnati in the rankings last week and with both teams being off this week, they will likely jump ahead of Florida. Iowa State is preparing for a Big 12 Championship against Oklahoma.

This week: vs. Oklahoma Sooners (7-2)

7. Cincinnati Bearcats (8-0)

Cincinnati was scheduled to play Tulsa in back to back weeks, but due to COVID, the first matchup was canceled. Now they will play them in the AAC Championship. Due to a weak schedule, the Bearcats will need help from teams ahead of them losing to have a shot at the CFP. Clemson will need to lose to Notre Dame. Ohio State may have to lose to Northwestern. Iowa State might have to lose to Oklahoma. Then Cincinnati has to hope they can jump Texas A&M too.

This week: vs. Tulsa Golden Hurricanes (6-1)

8. Indiana Hoosiers (6-1)

The Hoosiers had their game against Purdue canceled. They will not play in the Big Ten Championship, but they will be in play for a big bowl game.

This week: TBD

Next Four Out

9. Florida Gators (8-2)

The Gators are out of the CFP race after dropping a game to LSU. Florida had a chance to win the game, but earned a personal foul penalty for throwing an LSU player’s shoe. They will likely stay in the top 10, but will fall behind the true competitors for the CFP.

This week: vs. Alabama Crimson Tide (10-0)

10. Oklahoma Sooners (7-2)

Oklahoma is gearing up for the Big 12 Championship after having their game against West Virginia canceled. They can’t make the CFP, but can make a New Year’s Six Bowl.

This week: vs. Iowa State Cyclones (8-2)

11. Northwestern Wildcats (6-1)

Northwestern won a game against Illinois this week, but they were already in the Big Ten Championship.

This week: vs. Ohio State Buckeyes (5-0)

12. North Carolina Tar Heels (8-3)

UNC beat Miami, which means they could jump all the way from 17 to 12, over undefeated Coastal Carolina. The Tar Heels will be looking forward to a possible Orange Bowl apperance.

This week: BYE
