Starting Spot in Road to Glory in College Football 26

There are a few different ways to get a Starting Spot in Road to Glory on College Football 26. Some are much faster than others and all paths are generally going to be very different. What we are going to do here is try to help you in a few different circumstances starting from easiest to hardest.

Shortest: Being a Blue Chip or Elite Prospect

While you are not guaranteed a starting spot at the best schools even as a Blue Chip or Elite prospect, your chances are naturally higher. This is true if you play well in High School and especially so if you go to a smaller school. You can be a four or five-star recruit and you will have guaranteed starting jobs at most schools that are three or fewer stars themselves.

Time to Start: At the beginning of your Freshman Year

Medium: Picking a Middle Tier or Lower Schools

This one is similar but different in the sense that most one or two-star schools will give you an opportunity to start regardless of what star-rating you have. Be careful, though, some schools may recruit another player at the same position or change coaches. This could make it so that you do not get the position they originally offered you.

More than likely, you just need to pick 10 schools during high school that are some of the lowest star-ratings and you should be fine. At worst, you are the backup and have to practice a few weeks before taking the job.

Time to Start: Half of your Freshman Year or less

Longest: Being a 3-Star Recruit or Lower at a 2-Star School or Above

This one will take some time and that is because you are not as highly recruited or you bomb your high school games. Along with that, maybe you want to go to a top level school. If you do and you are not what we mentioned in the first section, then you will be battling for your spot. This includes having to practice quite a bit and not messing up very often. You will also want to make sure you are working on studying and leadership. Your skills will come more as you start but you can impress your coaches more by doing those other two. Lastly, your competition will likely struggle at some point and you will need to make sure you win your position battles.

Time to Start: All of Freshman Year and maybe some of Sophomore Year
