Best Teams for College Football 27 Dynasty Mode

College Football 27 is coming out soon. The most coveted mode is dynasty mode, where players can choose programs to dominate with or rebuild. Team selection can be tricky so here are the best teams for College Football 27 dynasty mode.

There are different types of dynasties to try, so teams will be divided up to fit different categories.

Fun Right Now

Oregon Ducks

Oregon is the highest-rated team in the game at 91 overall. Several key players could’ve gone pro, but decided to return to school, including potential first-round draft picks quarterback Dante Moore, defensive tackle A’Mauri Washington and edge rusher Matayo Uiagalelei. There is also some good young talent on the team, like wide receiver Dakorien Moore.

Texas Longhorns

Not only does Arch Manning return for the Longhorns, but Texas has flooded the roster with talent to support him. Raleek Brown and Hollywood Smothers come in at running back to improve the running game, while Cam Coleman will now join Ryan Wingo at wide receiver to make them a fun offense to play with. Colin Simmons is one of the best defensive players in the game and can rush the passer.

Ohio State Buckeyes

The Buckeyes will have Julian Sayin after a solid first season as a starter and he will be with Jeremiah Smith, the highest-rated player in the game. While there is some significant roster turnover around those stars, Ohio State has reloaded and is one of the highest-ranked teams in the game.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish

Notre Dame’s roster has the best defensive player in the game, cornerback Leonard Moore, who is a 97 overall. CJ Carr received a nice ratings boost as well after solid play last season. The Fighting Irish will have a solid offensive line, quarterback play and a good defense to work with to start a dynasty.

LSU Tigers

Lane Kiffin retained a lot of talent for LSU and then also brought in plenty of good transfers to put a good roster together for year one. Sam Leavitt takes over at quarterback and he’ll have a star offensive lineman in Jordan Seaton protecting him. There are plenty of weapons on offense, including matchup nightmare tight end Trey’Dez Green. Defensively, Whit Weeks is a quality linebacker and Princewill Umanmielen can rush the passer, making them ready to win right now in dynasty mode.

Georgia Bulldogs

Georgia has several impact players back to keep them competitive in real life and make them fun to start with in College Football 27. KJ Bolden is a great safety (95 overall) and several other defensive players can make an impact. Nate Frazier is one of the better running backs in the game, so if a user likes defense and running the ball, Georgia could fit their playstyle.

Indiana Hoosiers

After winning the national championship last season, Indiana has some new faces, but some new talent. Josh Hoover is coming in from TCU at quarterback and will have returnee Charlie Becker and Michigan State transfer Nick Marsh give him some nice targets and left tackle Carter Smith is one of the best players in the game. They should be able to compete again this year, at least with how they are rated in the game.

Big Conference Schools With Young Talent

California Golden Bears

The reason California ends up on this list is quarterback Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele being just a sophomore. He is rated at 85 overall and could be fun to build around. Although some of his top targets, Ian Strong and Chase Hendricks, are seniors, his tight end Dorian Thomas is a junior. Hit the transfer portal or recruit well early and JKS can help build a program.

Miami Hurricanes

Malachi Toney was a great receiver for Miami last season and got them to the National Championship Game. A game-breaking wide receiver can be fun to build around, especially because quarterback Darian Mensah is both good and has another year of eligibility remaining. Throw in star recruit Jackson Cantwell at left tackle and Miami can grow into a dynasty quickly in CFB 27.

Pittsburgh Panthers

Mason Heintschel took over the starting quarterback job last season as a freshman and completed 63 percent of his passes. Running back Ja’Kryain Turner showed some flashes last season too and is the second-highest rated player on the team. That backfield gives Pitt two players to build around.

USC Trojans

While quarterback Jayden Maiava is a senior, there are plenty of skill position players and players on defense who are even freshmen, sophomores and juniors. That includes running back King Miller and wide receiver Tanook Hines.

Michigan Wolverines

Michigan being here is all about quarterback Bryce Underwood and wide receiver Andrew Marsh. Both played well as freshmen and can lead the program into the future while they develop. Even edge rusher John Henry Daley is just a junior as well.

Minnesota Golden Gophers

Another Big Ten team with a solid quarterback and receiver combo who are just sophomores is Minnesota. Drake Lindsey is generating a little NFL Draft buzz at quarterback, while wide receiver Jalen Smith had over 400 receiving yards last season, which is impressive given the style of offense Minnesota plays.

Maryland Terrapins

Malik Washington was a highly-recruited quarterback who had a solid freshman season. He will be joined by fellow sophomore DeJuan Williams, a running back, in the backfield. Maryland has some sophomores starting on their defense, but Washington is the one to be excited about building around.

BYU Cougars

Most of the BYU team is older, but Bear Bachmeier played quarterback as a freshman and accounted for over 3,500 total yards. His 84 overall rating makes him a good player now and someone who can improve over the rest of his time in college.

Oklahoma State Cowboys

Oklahoma State hired Eric Morris to rebuild the program and the transfers he brought from North Texas should help him. Redshirt sophomore Drew Mestemaker has some NFL Draft hype. Sophomore running back Caleb Hawkins is the highest-rated player on Oklahoma State- 91.

Alabama Crimson Tide

While normally a team that would be in the contenders category, Alabama falls right below that. If some of the players on their roster are developed well, they can have a great team again shortly. Those players include quarterback Keelon Russell, wide receiver Lotzeir Brooks and left tackle Jackson Lloyd who are all sophomores or younger.

Florida Gators

Either Aaron Philo or Tramell Jones will be a young quarterback to play with and will have a relatively young core to utilize as well. Vernell Brown is a sophomore and Dallas Wilson is a freshman to give the quarterbacks wide recievers to grow with.

Mississippi State Bulldogs

Quarterback Kamario Taylor played some last year and now the sophomore is rated 83 overall. running back Fluff Bothwell is just a junior as well.

Big Conference Rebuild

Purdue Boilermakers

Purdue won just two games last year and Barry Odom still has some work to do on the roster. They are rated 78 overall.

Stanford Cardinal

Stanford won just four games last season, but the encouraging thing is they have a lot of possible impact players who are younger like sophomore running back Micah Welch.

Boston College Eagles

Bill O’Brien won just two games with the Eagles and hasn’t recruited at a level to give the team much hope going into this season.

Rutgers Scarlet Knights

Rutgers has two solid skill players in running back Antwan Raymond and wide receiver KJ Duff, but they are replacing quarterback Athan Kaliakmanis. They are rated 80 overall.

Iowa State Cyclones

Matt Campbell left the program and a lot of new faces are coming in. They are ranked 77 overall and are in need of a rebuild.

Kansas Jayhawks

Jalen Daniels is out of eligibility and Kansas will have to find a new quarterback and some playmakers. They are a 77 overall that could use an influx of talent.

Arkansas Razorbacks

Arkansas is rated 80 overall and does feature a good edge player in Quincy Rhodes, but will likely finish near the bottom of the SEC.

Group of Six Fun Right Away

Boise State Broncos

Boise State joins the Pac-12 and has a good shot to win it, along with representing the G6 in the CFP. There are 12 starters returning, including quarterback Maddux Madsen and edge rusher Jayden Virgin-Morgan. They are rated 80 overall, which is the best G6 team in the game.

UNLV Rebels

Jackson Arnold is a familiar name coming in at quarterback for the Rebels, while running back Jai’Den Thomas has a chance to put up another productive season. Dan Mullen won 10 games last year and his team was rated 78 overall this season.

USF Bulls

Brian Hartline was an assistant at Ohio State and now takes over the USF Bulls. Michael Van Buren is a quarterback who has earned experience in the SEC. They are rated 77 overall and have a chance to win the American.
