The University of Auburn has fired head football coach Bryan Harsin according to Brandon Marcello.
Harsin was 3-5 this season and 6-7 last season for a total record of 9-12 at the school. The firing had been rumored as far back as the offseason, but came to fruition after losing four straight games.
There are still four games left in the season, so Auburn could still reach a bowl game, but ultimately the firing likely happened so that the Tigers can start their coaching search in what should be a competitive season.
The Tigers play at Mississippi State this Saturday.
