Arizona State has hired Oregon offensive coordinator Kenny Dillingham as head coach according to Brett McMurphy.
Dillingham, 32, will be the youngest head coach in the FBS. This season he helped Oregon to a 9-3 record and the Ducks scored 39.7 points per game. Before his time at Oregon, he spent time Florida State, Auburn, Memphis and Arizona State working on the offensive side of the ball.
The Sun Devils will bring back an alumnus in Dillingham, who graduated from the university in 2012. He has recruiting ties from his time spent there.
Dillingham will take over for Herm Edwards, who was fired this season. The Sun Devils were 3-9 this season and are not eligible to make a bowl game.
