With the potential moves, ESPN is trying to void its TV deal with the ACC.
Conference realignment is coming and it is coming fast. Texas and Oklahoma announced they were joining the conference to bring the total number of teams to 16. Adding these teams would bring the total to 20, making them the biggest conference in the FBS.
Further moving things along was the decision by USC and UCLA to join the Big Ten. There is now plenty of negotiating going on around the college sports landscape. The Big 12 is pitching to teams from the Pac-12. The Pac-12 is talking with the ACC about a joint conference championship game. Notre Dame is being waited on by the Big Ten, as they make a potential decision to join the conference.
More news will be coming shortly.
