The 2025 Myrtle Beach Bowl features the 10-3 Kennesaw State Owls and the 9-4 Western Michigan Broncos. Here is the 2025 Myrtle Beach Bowl Preview.
Kennesaw State won 10 games this season, including the C-USA Championship Game, to qualify for their first FBS bowl game, their second at this level. They have five wins over bowl-eligible teams: Arkansas State, Louisiana Tech, Florida International, Missouri State and Jacksonville State. All three losses were to teams that made bowl games: Wake Forest, Indiana and Jacksonville State.
The Owls score 28.3 points per game, ranking 65th in the FBS. They pass for 245.7 yards (ranked 49th) and rush for 158.6 yards (ranked 69th) per game.

Five pass-catchers totaled at least 200 yards on the season. Gabriel Benyard leads the team with 55 catches for 898 yards and nine touchdowns. Christian Moss has also played well with 43 catches for 677 yards and two touchdowns.
Four players have at least 200 rushing yards this season. Coleman Bennett leads the way with 716 yards and four touchdowns. Chase Belcher and Alexander Diggs have also chipped in from the running back position with 418 and 281 yards, respectively. Odom rushed for 376 yards and seven touchdowns from his spot at quarterback.
Defensively, the Owls allow 24.31 points per game, ranking 65th in the nation. They concede 175.5 rushing yards (ranked 100th) and 227.8 passing yards (ranked 85th) per game. Baron Hopson has been all over the field with 126 total tackles. Elijah Hill leads the team with nine sacks. The Owls make plenty of plays on the ball, as Caleb Offord has 12 passes defended, while JeRico Washington Jr. has 11.
The Broncos won nine games, including the MAC Championship to make their second-straight bowl game. They defeated four bowl-eligible teams: Toledo, Central Michigan, Ohio and Miami (Ohio). Their only loss to a team that didn’t go at least .500 was to Michigan State.
Western Michigan scores 23.6 points per game, ranking 94th in the country. They pass for 139.9 yards (ranked 127th) and rush for 196.6 yards (ranked 22nd) per game.
Broc Lowry has been under center for the Broncos this season. He has passed for 1,683 yards, seven touchdowns and two interceptions on 63.4 percent completion. Four pass-catchers have at least 200 receiving yards on the season. Talique Williams has been the most impressive receiver with 478 yards and two touchdowns.
Lowry leads the rushing attack from the quarterback position with 940 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns. Three running backs have at least 200 rushing yards to aid Lowry. Jalen Buckley is the lead back with 829 rushing yards and eight touchdowns. Devin Miles and Ofa Mataele have chipped in with 357 and 228 rushing yards apiece.
The Broncos’ defense allows 18.23 points per game, ranking 14th in the country. They give up 122.2 rushing yards (ranked 33rd) and 177.7 passing yards (ranked 18th) per game. James Camden has the team-high in tackles with 74. Nadame Tucker has been one of the best pass rushers in the country with 14.5 sacks. Joshua Franklin has been solid in the secondary with nine passes defended.
Western Michigan’s issues throwing the football could come into play in this game. While they can run the ball, if they get down early, coming back will be tough. Kennesaw State has plenty of speed to generate big plays and can pull off the upset in the Myrtle Beach Bowl.
