The 2025 68 Ventures Bowl features the 6-6 Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns and the 6-6 Delaware Blue Hens. Here is the 2025 68 Ventures Bowl Preview.
Louisiana won six games to make their eighth straight bowl game. Two of their wins were over teams who made bowl games: Texas State and Arkansas State. Two of their losses were to teams that didn’t make a bowl game: Rice and Eastern Michigan.
The Ragin’ Cajuns score 27.1 points per game, ranking 73rd in the country. They pass for 156.2 yards (ranked 122nd) and rush for 189.8 yards (ranked 29th) per game.
Lunch Winfield has played the most at quarterback this season for the Ragin’ Cajuns. He has passed for 1,324 yards, 10 touchdowns and eight interceptions on 58.9 percent completion. Three receivers have over 200 yards on the season. Shelton Sampson Jr. paces the team with 29 catches for 495 yards and five touchdowns.
Three players do most of the work on the ground for Louisiana. Bill Davis has rushed for 743 yards and six touchdowns. Zylan Perry has also had a large role with 664 yards and eight touchdowns. Winfield has been a threat from the quarterback position with 627 rushing yards and nine touchdowns.
Louisiana gives up 30 points per game, ranking 104th in the FBS. They concede 189.1 rushing yards (ranked 116th) and 227.8 passing yards (ranked 86th) per game. Jaden Dugger has been one of the nation’s leading tacklers with 118. Jordan Lawson has 4.5 sacks to pace the team. Brent Gordon has made a lot of plays on the ball with 10 passes defended.
Delaware made a bowl game in their first season of FBS play by winning six games and because there were not enough other 6-6 teams. They defeated three teams that were bowl eligible this season: UConn, Florida International and Louisiana Tech. Two of their five losses were to teams who were below .500: Colorado and Sam Houston.
The Blue Hens score 29.8 points per game, ranking 51st in the country. They pass for 302.8 yards (ranked sixth) and rush for 115.9 (ranked 118th) per game.
Nick Minicucci has been the quarterback for Delaware this season. He has passed for 3,514 yards, 22 touchdowns and seven interceptions on 62.9 percent completion. Seven players have at least 200 receiving yards on the year. Kyre Duplessis and Sean Wilson are the two leaders on the team with 782 and 769 receiving yards, respectively.
Two running backs have most of the rushing production for the Blue Hens. Jo Silver has rushed for 536 yards and four touchdowns. Viron Ellison Jr. has 422 rushing yards and four touchdowns. Minicucci has also chipped in from the quarterback position with 231 yards and 10 touchdowns.
On defense, the Blue Hens allow 32.5 points per game, ranking 120th in the country. They give up 246.8 passing yards and 164.3 rushing yards per game. Gavin Moul leads the team with 104 total tackles. Trace Scott III and Keyshawn Hunter are tied for a team-high three sacks. Mysonne Pollard can force turnovers, as he has four interceptions on the year.
Minicucci leads a great passing attack for Delaware. That offense should be able to take advantage of a subpar Louisiana defense. They aren’t favored, but Minicucci’s play gives the Blue Hens’ offense an element that Louisiana doesn’t have.
