Silvio De Sousa Suspended Indefinitely for Role in Brawl

Kansas forward Silvio De Sousa has been suspended indefinitely for his role in a brawl between Kansas and Kansas State on Tuesday night.

The school announced the suspension in a release on Monday, but did not give a specific time he would be missing. Kansas’ Athletic Director Jeff Long also released a statement.

Kansas cruised past Kansas State, winning 81-60. In the final seconds of the game, a brawl started after De Sousa blocked a shot and stood over a Kansas State player. It resulted in De Sousa raising a chair about to swing it before someone grabbed it out of his hands. It leaked into the seats. Here is a clip of the fight.

No other players have been suspended at this time.
