NCAA Cancels Men’s and Women’s Tournaments

Publish Date: March 12, 2020

The NCAA has decided to cancel the 2020 NCAA men’s and women’s tournaments according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania. This comes in light of COVID-19, or coronavirus, spreading to the United States.

This comes after conferences took it upon themselves earlier on Wednesday to cancel their own conference tournaments. The NCAA has canceled all winter and spring championships due to concerns surrounding COVID-19.

Professional sports in season, such as the NBA, NHL and MLB have all suspended their seasons temporarily as they prepare for the coronavirus.

More updates will be given as information becomes available.
