After entering his name in the transfer portal, Alabama freshman Kira Lewis has announced on Twitter he is returning to Tuscaloosa. Lewis was the youngest freshman in the country this past season at 17 years old. In addition, he averaged 13.5 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game for the Crimson Tide this past year.
He put up 24 points, seven assists and four rebounds in a victory over Georgia in early February. Nobody is more thrilled with the news than new head coach Nate Oats, who turned Buffalo into an NCAA Tournament regular. In four seasons, he went 96-43 and took the Bulls to the Big Dance three times. Oats was named Alabama’s head coach on March 27, 2019.
