Shaka Smart has this Texas team in a great position to compete at the top of the Big 12 proving that with the win at Kansas. Additionally, the veteran nature of this team gives them the experience necessary to play deep into the NCAA tournament. The trio of guards with Matt Coleman, Andrew Jones and Courtney Ramey give Texas one of the best perimeters in the country. The emergence of Greg Brown has been massive giving them a difficult matchup for frontcourts to handle. Texas is in a great position to make further noise in the Big 12 and beyond.

Seton Hall

Seton Hall is playing as well as they have all season and are clicking on all cylinders right now. Furthermore, the ability for Jared Rhoden to step up as their secondary scorer has been big. Continued, when Bryce Aiken is playing he stabilizes this team with his poise and playmaking. Sandro Mamukaleshivil has been one of the best players in the country with his versatility and ability to take over any game. Also, Ike Obaigu has been a major contributor with his ability to alter shots at the rim providing great protection around the basket. Kevin Willard consistently has put Seton Hall in a position to compete at the top of the Big East and is doing it again.


Michigan is sitting at 9-0 on the season and has flown under the radar within the Big Ten and nationally. The ability to have two bigger wings who can score easily in Franz Wagner and Isaiah Livers is vital. Additionally, the ability of Franz Wagner to provide his versatility offensively. Also, Isaiah Livers is a veteran who makes big shots on a consistent basis that can be relied upon. Moving forward, Hunter Dickinson has played like one of the best freshmen with his shot-blocking ability and mobility. The guard play of Eli Brooks and Mike Smith has been really good providing great energy and effort defensively. Along, with the ability to make key shots. Along with, having a consistent threat of Chaundee Brown off the bench gives another element to Michigan. Juwan Howard has Michigan in a position to be among the Big Ten’s best teams.

Big Ten

The Big Ten is going to be a gauntlet for all teams involved with everyone maybe outside of Nebraska having a true opportunity to win each game. Furthermore, the guard play with the conference has been really good with Marcus Carr and Ayo Dosunmu paired with Andre Curbelo. The veteran shot makers of Geo Baker, Brad Davison, Isaiah Livers have been telling with their success. The big men within this conference are among the nations best with Luka Garza, Kofi Cockburn and Micah Potter. The Big Ten top to bottom is loaded with talent and has excellent coaches which is why this conference can have 10 teams in the NCAA tournament.
