Hunt was the leading rusher in the NFL as a rookie for the Chiefs in the 2017 season with 1,327 yards. It was an impressive season for the third-round pick out of Toledo. His play earned him a spot on the Pro Bowl roster for the season.
This season, Hunt played in 11 games before being released by the Chiefs after a video was released by TMZ showing Hunt shoving and kicking a woman. The Chiefs stated that Hunt had lied to them about the incident and it was proven in the video.
Hunt went unsigned throughout the rest of the NFL season, while the Chiefs went on to lose in the AFC Championship Game to the Patriots.
Browns General Manager John Dorsey has already released a statement mentioning that he believes Hunt deserves a second chance. Hunt also released a statement on the matter, which was released on the Browns Twitter account.
