Let’s take a look at some of the injuries the Cleveland Browns have dealt with throughout the 2026 NFL season, looking at both sides of the ball and who is out short- and long-term.
The Browns enter Week 8 with a 5-2 record and will face their divisional rivals, the Pittsburgh Steelers, on the road Sunday in a huge game with first place in the AFC North on the line.
The Browns haven’t dealt with a ton of significant injuries throughout the season, but their most notable long-term loss is linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, who has yet to play a snap this season due to a neck injury.
The Browns placed him on the reserve/physically unable to perform (PUP) list in May, and this marks the second straight season he’s missed due to the serious neck injury he suffered in October 2024.
While Owusu-Koramoah’s absence isn’t new for the Browns, they also lost guard Teven Jenkins to injured reserve last week with a back injury.
The Browns will be without Jenkins for their Week 8 game against the Steelers, and he’s required to miss at least four games before becoming eligible to return.
For Week 8, the Browns are relatively healthy, with only two players listed as questionable: cornerback Myles Harden and safety Daniel Thomas.
Harden suffered a hamstring injury during the Browns’ Week 7 but returned to the game. He was limited in practice throughout the week and is questionable against Pittsburgh. Thomas was also limited throughout the week with an ankle injury and carries a questionable designation.
The most important news for the Browns this week is that offensive tackle Tytus Howard cleared concussion protocol Saturday and no longer carries an injury designation for Sunday.
Howard suffered a concussion during Cleveland’s Week 7 win against Tennessee and missed all three practice sessions this week. The Browns initially listed him as questionable on Friday but announced Saturday that he had cleared concussion protocol, which is a big relief considering the strength of Pittsburgh’s defensive line.
