Team JoshOG Wins 100 Thieves’ $100K Warzone From Home Tournament

Warzone From Home

A great event for a great cause.

Call of Duty: Warzone

This past Tuesday, 100 Thieves announced they would be hosting an event for Warzone. Call of Duty: Warzone is not a part of COD’s current yearly release, as it’s been deemed a separate game, and made free to play.

First off, some have mixed feelings, but what cannot be denied is the humongous support the new battle royale has received. Call of Duty recently tweeted on some numbers backing their success.

Also, players known from other games, such as TSM’s Daequan, have stated that Warzone is the best of its kind. Noting the 1-versus-1 Gulag system and infinite respawns among other things, TSM’s player knows that Warzone provides many ways to avoid the boredom of watching your team play without you.

A mix of content creators and professional players came together on Friday, for all the right reasons. 100 Thieves’ “Warzone From Home” event provides 50,000 dollars for donations to various charities and another 50,000 for those who were tuning in.

Content creators such as Vikram “Vikkstar123” Singh Barn and Federico “Fedmyster” Gaytan were invited, but they weren’t the only ones. Along with these personalities, professional players such as Jordan “HusKers” Thomas and “Aydan” Conrad were present. Therefore, the competition’s variety truly was evident.

Team JoshOG proved victorious through the single-elimination bracket, as they earned a nice 25 grand for their charity. JoshOG’s squad consisted of himself, Josh “JoshOG” Beaver, Diego “Diegosaurs” Navarette and HusKers.

As a result, Meals on Wheels, Direct Relief and Coronavirus Relief: Keep Kids Learning were all helped. For more information on these three charities:

It’s always good to see the gaming community come together, right in the face of adversity. Hopefully, more success is to come- both for COVID-19; and for Warzone.
