OpTic Gaming LA has a chance to turn their season around in Atlanta on February 22nd. After a disappointing opening weekend, they are looking to make some changes for the upcoming event. Viewers should look to their star players to make big plays throughout the weekend.
Dashy is one of those key players that OpTic will rely on for those big moments. The 20-year-old Canadian has been in the Call of Duty scene since 2017 and has achieved all-star status over time. Here is a closer look at Brandon “Dashy” Otell to get viewers well acquainted before Atlanta.
Str8 Rippin 2017
Dashy came onto the scene in 2017 and played for Str8 Rippin during the Infinite Warfare season. This team featured veterans such as Ricky and Study which complemented Dashy very well. Dashy’s raw talent mixed very well with strategic players like Ricky and Temp which elevated his game. The team was an underdog the whole season and Dashy become a rising star in the year he played for Str8 Rippin.
Complexity 2018
For the 2018 season Dashy moved on to the Complexity roster alongside Ricky. Dashy continued to amaze fans as he made highlights with snipers and his fast style of play. Pro players and fans alike began to notice how good Dashy really was and this opened doors for him to join a top roster. He was able to earn multiple team of the week awards and provided solid play for Complexity all year.
OpTic Gaming 2019
Black Ops 4 introduced the 5v5 format for Call of Duty and OpTic was able to put together a star-studded roster. Dashy was picked up alongside TJHaly and Karma to play with Scumpi and Crimsix. Dashy excelled with this talented roster and played lights out in nearly every event and won MVP at CWL Las Vegas. On top of playing well all year, Dashy began to produce a lot of content with OpTic and showed off his loveable personality. Dashy built a name for himself and cemented his place as one of the best players in the league.
Optic Gaming LA 2020
Dashy remained under the OpTic Gaming name for the CDL and has put together a solid start to the season. Dashy has adjusted well to the new Call of Duty and has not looked back. He is an AR slayer for the team which puts him in long-distance situations to support his teammates. Dashy has been able to keep OpTic competitive against top teams in the league with his positioning on the map which gets him easy kills. As Dashy continues to play in his AR slayer role, he will only improve on his impressive play this year.
Dashy is one of the best players in the CDL this year and Atlanta will be the perfect stage to show it. OpTic will face off against an undefeated Atlanta to start the weekend. Dashy will be the player to watch as OpTic looks to turn their season around on February 22nd.
