The Minnesota Rokkr head to Atlanta after a long bye to get prepared after they impressed during week one at home. This will be the team’s first bracket-style tournament they have participated in, as Launch Weekend was simply matchup to matchup.
They didn’t play last weekend, but their next matchup will be against the Paris Legion, who has surprised many Call of Duty League fans this year. One of the league’s best Search & Destroy teams, it’ll be quite a tough battle for the Rokkr. However, they should have an advantage in a couple of other modes.
Review
The Rokkr did not play this past weekend, but head to Atlanta, home of the FaZe on Feb. 22.
Preview
Paris Legion: 4-2-0
Ranked number two in the official Call of Duty League rankings with 40 CDL points, the Legion will be the Rokkr’s toughest opponent to date. As noted, they are one of the league’s best Search and Destroy (SnD) teams, losing only one map.
The key for the Rokkr will be to deliver in their best game mode, which is Hardpoint. During Launch Weekend, they held a team (Toronto Ultra) to the lowest Hardpoint score of the entire weekend at 125.
Improvement in SnD will be huge as well but it is not necessary. Consistent play in Domination and continued success in Hardpoint are the main focuses.
They should win all Hardpoint matches and could turn it around in SnD and win of those maps as well which would be a good sign for the team. Overall, the Rokkr should pull it out in what could be a great contest.
Fun Fact of the day:
Paris’ Denholm “Denz” Taylor is the oldest player between the two teams and is one of the only players in the league who is 25 or older. The Rokkr’s Justin “SiLLy” Fargo-Palmer is the next oldest at 24.
