CDL Major 2 Qualifying Week 1 Predictions

CDL Major 2 Qualifying Week 1 Predictions

Major 2 qualifying is just around the corner. The qualifying is about to get started and teams are looking to start the new stage hot. A lot of teams are looking to improve as a result as well and keep form. Here are some CDL Major 2 Qualifying Week 1 predictions to start off this new major.

Week 1 Matches

Friday
New York Subliners vs London Royal Ravens

With possible moves coming from New York incoming, this could be a great match. However, London looks in-form as Gismo and Nastie are playing lights out. This is why this could be an easy 3-0 sweep of the Subliners. However, if Neptune comes back and someone replaces Clayster, it could make things interesting.

Seattle Surge vs Boston Breach

The Surge is looking to come back with force as they will try to get it right against the hot Boston Breach. The league will be expecting much of the same from Nero and Capsidal which is why I predict it to be a 3-1 Boston Breach win. The Seattle Surge needs to figure out how to play as a whole team instead of having to rely on flashy plays from Pred and Sib.

Florida Mutineers vs Los Angeles Guerrillas

Huke and Asim are looking great. However, Slasher is the one that is struggling to find his way on the team. Regardless, the play from the other three will prove to be a little too much for Florida and Davpadie as I predict LAG to win 3-2.

Saturday
Paris Legion vs Los Angeles Guerrillas

With Paris looking to make another change. It could be scary for LAG as they may face a new and improved Paris team that has Temp playing at a high level. I do believe that hardpoint play with Temp and GRVTY is going to be a lot to handle. Which is why I have Paris winning 3-2.

London Royal Ravens vs Los Angeles Thieves

The battle between the #3 and #4 teams in the world. The Los Angeles Thieves will be looking for some sort of revenge as Kenny and Octane continue to play their best in Hardpoint. It will prove to be the X-Factor as London may struggle to combat Thieves’ respawn modes and lose to Thieves, 3-2.

Minnesota ROKKR vs Toronto Ultra

This is the Battle for the North. A dreaded rivalry gets renewed yet again. However, this time, the teams involved are not looking too hot. With Toronto not playing their best, and ROKKR struggling in respawns, this is a toss-up. However, due to the fact that both teams are bad at respawns, I have this going in favor of Ultra, 3-2.

Atlanta FaZe vs Seattle Surge

Cellium, Simp, and aBeZy, will have their way against this struggling Surge team. This could be the fastest game of the week as Seattle Struggle to find themselves in all game modes due to their lack of playing together. Would not be surprised if they do not win a map against the #1 team in the world.

Sunday
Minnesota ROKKR vs Paris Legion

This is a tough one. Paris struggles in Search, while ROKKR is great at it. ROKKR struggle in respawns, while Paris is good at it. This will be determined by the performances of Temp on Paris and Standy on ROKKR. I do think Standy will have the better stats, which is why I believe it will be a 3-1 victory for the ROKKR.

New York Subliners vs Florida Mutineers

This will be exciting for both teams. This might help gauge where they are in comparison to the rest of the league. I do believe after a good amount of practice, New York will pull it out with their new team against the Mutineers, 3-2.

Los Angeles Thieves vs OpTic Texas

By far, one of the most important games for both teams in this qualifier. It could very well determine the seeding for both teams. Will Texas come out with the win and continue to be in form? Or will Thieves get revenge against their bitter rivals? I do believe Dashy and Shotzzy alone will be too much for the Thieves, as I predict a 3-1 victory for OpTic.

Overall, it is looking to be one of the most interesting weeks in qualifying yet. This is the case due to the fact that many of the top teams are playing each other. It is also the case because there will be new teams playing each other. All in all, it is looking to be a competitive first week of qualifying matches for this second major.
