The Arizona Cardinals will hire Kliff Kingsbury as their next head coach according to NFL Network’s Peter Schrager.

Kingsbury was fired as head coach of the Texas Tech Red Raiders following this season. He was then hired by USC as offensive coordinator, who blocked him from taking interviews with NFL teams. Kingsbury took interviews anyways, which ended up going in his favor after he was hired by the Cardinals.
At Texas Tech, Kingsbury was known as an offensive mind, but his teams struggled due to a lack of defense. The Red Raiders scored 37.4 points per game and ranked third in passing yards per game at 352.6. Their 5-7 record this season resulted in his firing.
His main task now will be working with Cardinals’ quarterback Josh Rosen, who had a rough start to his career in his rookie season.
Kingsbury will replace Steve Wilks, who was with the team with one season and posted a 3-13 record.
