Season 14 brings with it a ton of exciting new changes. Respawn already announced the new legends Vantage, Kings Canyon map change, and other updates. Every season weapons also receive changes and new perks. In the upcoming season, a popular attachment in other FPS games like Call of Duty is coming to Apex Legends. Apex Legends Laser Sights offer a powerful buff to pistols and SMGs.
Laser Sights provide moderate hipfire spread reduction and the laser visible during hipfire is visible to allies only. The new attachment replaces barrel stabilizers on SMGs and pistols. This change firmly separates SMGs and pistols from LMGs and assault rifles and makes them more suited for close-range combat.
Removing barrel stabilizers from weapons like the R-99, CAR SMG, and Alternator encourages players to aim down sights less with these guns. Without recoil reduction, while scoped in, most pistols and SMGs are now more accurate and better-used hipfiring.
A new attachment is just a small part of a larger weapon meta shake-up. In Season 14, Respawn is making drastic weapon changes including making the Wingman a sniper, swapping Care Package weapons, and switching the crafting rotation. Players can enjoy a wide variety of guns with new perks.
A new legend, map changes, and more equipment updates are also on their way. This season will certainly bring change, whether that is good or not is still to be seen. Players will have to jump in and see for themselves.
All of these changes go live when Apex Legends Season 14 starts on August 9.
