Now that April has begun the FACEIT Global Summit: PUBG Classic is getting closer and closer. This is the first big PUBG tournament of the year. It will be taking place in London and it is going to be one to remember. There will be 24 teams coming together from all over the world to compete for a $400,000 prize pool. Who is going to come out on top? Here is the breakdown of how it all is going to play out.
How It Works
The FACEIT Global Summit is divided into a group stage, elimination stage, and the grand finals. The group stage will be taking place over three days, beginning on April 16, 2019. The teams will be divided up into three groups of eight teams. Each group will play against the other two to see who can rack up the most points. The top eight teams will head straight into the Grand Finals, whereas the bottom 16 teams will go to the elimination stage.
The elimination stage will consist of the bottom 16 teams from before, and they will be given a second chance to move on to the Grand Finals. Six matches will take place on April 19 to decide who will get to move on. The top eight will proceed to the finals.
The grand finals will take place over two days where the 16 teams will play 12 matches. Six matches will be played each day, and in the end one team will come out on top. Along with prize money and glory, the three best performing regions will earn an extra slot for the PUBG Global Championship later in the year.
