Former journeyman quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick has been hired by Amazon Prime to host pregame, halftime and postgame coverage this season for their NFL games. Amazon released the news on Tuesday.

Fitzpatrick, 39, played with nine NFL teams in his 17 years in the league. He passed for 34,990 yards, 223 touchdowns and 169 interceptions on 60.7 percent completion.
Amazon will host 15 NFL Thursday Night Football games in 2022 and have assembled a team for the new season. The games will require a subscription to watch them. Al Michaels will handle play-by-play duties, while Kirk Herbstreit will be the color commentator, while still calling college football games for ESPN. Fitzpatrick will join Richard Sherman and Tony Gonzalez in the studio.
