The Las Vegas Raiders have released edge rusher Carl Nassib according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Nassib will be designated as a post-June 1 cut, which will save the Raiders $8 million against the cap.
The Penn State product is a former third-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. He has played for the Browns, Buccaneers and Raiders. In his six NFL seasons, Nassib 22 sacks. Last season with the Raiders, Nassib had 1.5 sacks in 13 games played.
In 2022, Nassib was projected to be a depth piece for the Raiders, who already have Maxx Crosby and Yannick Ngakoue as starters at defensive end. Now, Nassib will be on the open market.
