The Los Angeles Rams are doubling down on their new look after unveiling their updated logo a few weeks before the NFL draft.
On May 12, the team tweeted out images of their new uniforms. They seem to be leaning in to the bright blue and yellow that was featured on their previous alternate uniforms. Gone is the dark gold and the blue helmet with white horns.
Change was obviously in the air, as was evidenced by the Rams becoming the first team in NFL history to wear alternate uniforms in the Super Bowl. Since the NFC was the “home team” in Super Bowl LIII, they were given first priority in uniform choice.
Instead of choosing the blue and gold holdover uniforms from St. Louis, they distanced themselves by using the much more popular blue and yellow.
The design of the new logo has been met with some confusion by fans and pundits. Los Angeles will have to wait and see whether or not the fans take to their new look.
