Managing your turns in Civ 7 can be the difference between a good game and a great one, and ensuring you have done everything you need to do before advancing to the next turn is a big part of it. So, here are five things we check every time we hit that next turn button.
Influence is one of the many spendable currencies in Civ 7, where players can use it for Sanctions, Endeavors, befriending City-States, and much more. But, because you don’t usually spend it every turn, it can be easy to forget that you need to use it. For more on Influence, check out our guide video below as well!
Gold is used for a lot in Civ 7, but one of the things that can slip player’s minds the most is converting Towns to Citites. They can get very affordable to do so, which makes checking every turn or so a worthwhile investment.
Whether dealing with a Town or City, purchasing units and buildings are the other main uses for Gold in Civ 7. So, make sure you are spending it, or have a plan for saving.
Do you have Scouts out exploring that may be surprise attacked, or pesky neighbors causing issues? In any case, it’s always good practice to scan the map for units at the end of each turn.
This is a bit of a broad one, but many things like empire resources and social policies can fall to the back of our minds in Civ 7 games. Getting used to checking in on them, at least every few turns, is a good practice to stay as optimized as possible.
