There are not many NFL draft prospects in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl, but it should still be a good, competitive game. Because there are not many stars to watch, players will get a chance to break through and shine. Here are the best prospects from this game:
Colorado State Rams
Fred Zerblis, OG
Projected Draft Round: Seventh round-undrafted free agent
Zerblis is part of a great offensive line at Colorado State, but he is the most talented. He is specifically good at pass blocking, but isn’t bad at run blocking either. At six foot two inches tall, he isn’t the biggest offensive line prospect. He needs to prove he can handle bigger defensive linemen at the NFL level. Adding strength and showing mobility will be the biggest way that Zerblis can help his draft stock. Unfortunately for scouts he won’t be matched up with Idaho’s best defensive linemen every time. This means he should have a great game.
Idaho Vandals
Aikeem Coleman, Defensive End
Projected Draft Round: Seventh round-undrafted free agent
Coleman is still a junior so he may not come out, but he has had a tremendous season for Idaho. He has eight sacks on the season, helping the Vandals create a good pass rush. He needs to work on his run defense for the next level. This is especially the case because he doesn’t always face the best competition. Coleman came to Idaho from East Mississippi Community College, which is featured in Last Chance U. At six foot three, Coleman doesn’t have great size, but it should be adequate.
