Jon Rahm
Rahm may not have the prowess of a grizzled PGA Tour Veteran
but he sure acts like he does. In his last four starts, he has two top-5 finishes, one of which came two weeks prior to this week’s Travelers Championship. Unfortunately, it is irrationally early to call Rahm a stud on the PGA Tour in fear of him succumbing to the hype and failing to meet expectation. So, I’ll just say this, Rahm averages 28.45 putts per round, which would rank 20th on the PGA Tour, and his total strokes gained is 3.05, which is unheard of.
HOWEVER, yes, unfortunately, there is a caveat here, Rahm only has 8 measured rounds for both of those stats. I can only assume they were pulled from the events where he finished 3rd and 2nd. This vastly skews the data considering he struggled immensely for two events between those two top-5 finishes.
In short, Rahm has his foot in the door of the eyes of the PGA Tour, now it’s up to him to play lights out and show everyone he’s not a fluke.
