4- Kansas City
The state of Missouri has no professional basketball team to root for but that wasn’t always the case. They once did in 1972 when they had the Kansas City Kings but the Kings left for Cincinnati in 1975 and eventually moved to Sacramento and became known as the Sacramento Kings.
Kansas City has the defending champions in baseball, the Royals. The Chiefs are also one of the cities professional teams. Kansas City is the 36th largest market in the United States and the fans are die hards. Arrowhead Stadium, where the Chiefs play, is considered one of the toughest places to play. Kansas City deserves the opportunity to turn the city into a basketball nightmare for visiting teams the way it has done in other sports.
