2. Pokemon Silver and Gold
There are a few disclaimers with this. To start I know I said I was not going to pick a series so I narrowed it down to Silver and Gold since they are basically the same game outside of the few different Pokemon that are exclusive to each.
Next for those of you who grew up with me you know how much I loved Blue, Red, and Yellow. They were amazing games but, these games just had more to offer.
Gold and Silver were the first Pokemon games to come in full on color, not just monotone colors like the originals, and yes I even mean Yellow version. Seeing your favorite little sprites in full color and battling it out with moves that were also in color were amazing.
This game also had more content in it than any of the other games (outside of its remake). Once you had beaten the Jhoto League you were able to go back to Kanto (the original games) and fight the gym leaders there. At the end you even had the chance to beat Red, AKA Ash and his team of high level Pokemon.
This game had everything. The story was similar but, this time your Rival was an actual punk who was not related to the Professor. Also Team Rocket was back and the story was even better for them than in the first game.
Adding the new Pokemon, graphics and the amount of content are what makes this game my favorite Pokemon game of all time. If you know me at all you knew that Pokemon was going to be on here somewhere and Gold and Silver were the ones that made the.
